craft night ideas.

its friday!
i love fridays - especially this friday because my sweet husband does not have to work tomorrow and i am having some ladies over to do some valentines day crafting. {next friday will be WAY more exciting, because we leave for Disneyland the next day! thats 8 days from now people!}
anyways, so tonight i am crafting, and talking, and snacking with some sweet ladies, and i thought i knew just what i wanted to work on, but now i am not sure. here are a few of my ideas, what do you think?

i love arrows - there is something really sweet about them to me. probably because of this:
psalm 127:4-5
like arrows in the hand of a warrior
are the children of ones youth.
blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them!
he shall not be put to shame when he speaks
with his enemies in the gate.

 i just love banners - so i'll probably make this. and its qucik, so i could make this plus something else.

another garland.

a really sweet headband.

love these.

see why i am having a hard time deciding!
if you have any other ideas, leave them in the comments!
happy friday!!

a thankful heart, is a happy heart.

earlier this year, i was inspired by my sweet friend, megan. she started a jar of blessings (you can read about it here)
i wanted so badly to follow with her and do it every single day, but i never did. so, i thought that we would do our own little twist on this great idea. i know this is not the first time that you have heard of this, but it has been so helpful in cultivating a heart of thankfulness instead of comparison or ungratefulness. {is that a word?!}

we started a thankful jar.

each day for the month of november, nick and i are writing down something we are thankful for. my plan is to start doing this everyday for the whole year {give or take} and have them to read on thanksgiving.

i have found already, that i spend more time thinking about what i am thankful for and less time wishing i had things that i dont. i am really excited about this jar and what it means for our family. i am really looking forward to reading these on thanksgiving day.

we were using just plain old sticky notes to write on & then i found this awesome free printable

 so i printed that cute little thing out and we write our thanks on something really darling. {which is something i am thankful for...}

how do you guys keep track of things that you are thankful for?

um, this is the best idea. so cute. so practical. so something we need.

four:

i love the idea of hanging our towels. our apartment kitchen is very small & lacking storage space. i could free up an entire drawer just by hanging our towels.

five:

how cute are these?! {although, i need more silverware like i need a hole in my head...}

six:

i adore this skirt. & really would wear it almost everyday.

seven:

only, i think i would add pearls instead of studs. or maybe some flowers.

eight:

i have about 3 little ladies to make this for. as well as my own little lady.

nine:

is it to late to make this & hang it in maggie's room? {i sure hope not.}

ten:

so, this does not have to be finished by summer. nick & i decided a few weeks ago that for maggie's first birthday we are going to make this together. its going to be so fun & i am so looking forward to a play kitchen that looks adorable in our house & that maggie's mama & daddy spent time on just for her!

what things are you hoping to make this summer?
