welcome home, peppa fish.

 

this weekend we took maggie to the pet store & let her pick out a "yittle fishy" she was so excited, and wanted to carry it over the the doggie daycare at petco and show the puppies her new friend. we gave her our debit card and let her pay the $2.68 for her new friend, you could tell she totally felt like a big girl.  she chose the name, peppa, after her beloved peppa pig. (but mostly she calls it "yittle fishy") 

 

 i basically thought that goldfish live to be about 2 months old {thats as far as they ever made it in my house as a kid} but apparently this guy could be around for 4ish years. i kinda wonder what we got ourselves into, especially when i came out of the bathroom last night to find 4 sticky notes, the lid to the fish tank & ten tiny fingers in the fishbowl. my child is the real darla from finding nemo. we have had to explain that the fish can not sleep in maggies bed, and it can not wear a tutu. so instead she is happy staring at it in its bowl and making fish kisses. its kind of adorable.
